Hmm. I respectfully disagree with your position based on my experience dealing with more than my share of hate. This includes once being told to, “Shut up; you crippled, nigger, faggot.”!
I am a Black man who has never been able to walk and am a homosexual. In other words, I know hate when I see, hear, or experience it. If the anti-LGBTQ student did not promote killing or hurting homosexuals, I do not believe passing out literature as “Hate.” It is opinion, which is free speech.
I also know enough about the Bible to say, those who think “God hates fags” are not speaking for God. I am a firm believer that God put me on this earth. And Thank God I do not have to answer to Franklin Graham. What I love most about the Bible is how it teaches me to love those who HATE homosexuals. And if I was tested today, I know I will ace the test because of my teacher.
I tell a true story of how I tried to pick up some guy who I thought was cute, and I told him so. He responded that he was “Not gay.” I did not let that prevent me from having a conversation with him. That was the year 2002, and not only did I save his life, but we also lived together, often ate together, went to the movies together and are still friends in 2020. As God is my witness, he tells his friends and parents that I am his “Mentor.”
