LGBTQ Stands for “Spoiled Rotten” and comes with Benefits
LGBTQ stands for “Spoiled Rotten” in San Francisco. But the experience of the restaurant chain Chick-fil-A, suggests, LGBTQ spoiled rotten syndrome is popping up in other parts of the country.
Last year, New Jersey’s Rider University banned Chick-fil-A from its campus after the school’s president sent out a confusing letter to students that seemed to suggest he was having a tug-of-war with his conscience over Chick-fil-A on campus.
Buffalo Niagara International Airport has kicked Chick-fil-A out of the airport after a backlash from LGBTQ spoiled rotten syndrome.
To boycott a business is constitutional, but to discriminate against a business is unconstitutional.
Therefore, the Attorney General of Texas has announced he is investigating the actions of the San Antonio city council who voted to ban Chick-fil-A from setting up a restaurant in the San Antonio airport, as an act of discrimination.
Discriminating against Chick-fil-A can be traced back to a couple of tweets in 2012 by the now deceased mayor of San Francisco.
July 2012, Dan Cathy, president of the restaurant chain Chick-fil-A, proudly responded “Guilty as charged” when asked in an interview if he opposed same-sex marriage. Cathy’s response didn’t sit too well with San Francisco mayor Ed Lee.
When the late San Francisco mayor heard Chick-fil-A did not support “Gay marriage” Ed Lee fired off a couple of tweets; tantamount to a parent seeing nothing wrong with giving a child anything he or she desired, only to regret the results much later.
The San Francisco Board of Supervisors may regret spending $6 million to honor San Francisco gay icon Harvey Milk, who had a checkered history, when juxtaposing the posthumous resolution, the board gave to a true gay hero who saved the life of the President of the United States.
On September 22, 1975, Oliver Sipple saved the life of President Gerald R. Ford outside the St. Francis Hotel at Union Square San Francisco. When Harvey Milk got wind of his friend’s heroics, he saw a political opportunity for himself.
Sipple, a gay former marine and Vietnam veteran from Michigan was content living his life openly in San Francisco. He loved his stanch Baptist parents and respected their religious beliefs enough not to reveal to them that their son was homosexual.
Harvey Milk saw something different. Using the heroics of his friend Sipple, Milk outed him to the world in hopes of proving “gays do heroic things” for his own political aspirations. When Sipple’s parents read in news reports their hero son was also gay, they stopped talking to Oliver.
Harvey Milk was eventually elected to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors in November 1977. But not because gays do heroic things.
Cult leader Rev. Jim Jones was also a friend of Harvey Milk. And Jones ordered many of his followers to campaign heavily for Milk and it worked. In return for the help he received, Milk defended his cult leader friend in a letter to then president Jimmie Carter as “a man of the highest character.”
A couple who were former followers of the San Francisco cult leader Jim Jones, were in a custody battle. Their 6-year-old son whose biological father was the Rev. Jones; due to the fact the couple was unable to conceive.
Under court order to return the child, Jones was to have the boy picked up at SFO, but he never arrived. The child was among the 918 victims murdered by cult leader in the Jonestown, Guyana massacre on November 18, 1978.
There are many benefits to being LGBTQ spoiled rotten in the year 2019. This includes, being honored despite outing a friend for political gain. You can be friends with a cult leader who helped elect you to public office, no problem. And being friends of a mass murderer will not disqualify you from being honored.
You can also take solace in the fact, the NBA has your back even when the LGBTQ spoiled rotten practices discrimination.
You can even petition “Equality” in a losing tantrum all the way to the US Supreme Court over a business not wanting to make you a gay wedding cake. But sadly, if a Christian business, like Chick-fil-A is interested in coming to San Francisco International Airport, Dan Cathy and others should know, the only benefits of equality in San Francisco is spoiled Milk.
